This programme brings together film and video by artists and filmmakers who escape formal filmic narratives through the use of direct, sometimes exaggerated performances for the camera. Mixing over-arranged -en-scène and dressing up with more intimate scenes of self-reflection, their aesthetics range from the 50s to Punk and New Wave, to more contemporary settings.

Reflections without Sun is curated by Anne-Sophie Dinant and Electra, in response to the exhibition of Pauline Boudry/Renate Lorenz, Toxic Play In Two Acts in the South London Gallery's first floor galleries, showing until 24 February.
